Community Standards

Community Guidelines

Ancestra is a family-governed memorial system. These guidelines exist to protect dignity, preserve historical integrity, and ensure that public memorial records remain calm, truthful, and respectful.

Report MisuseContact Support

Principle

Dignity First

Every memorial, tribute, and family record must be handled with restraint, accuracy, and respect for the deceased and their relatives.

Principle

Family Stewardship

Clusters and memorial records are family-governed spaces. Administrators, members, and verifiers are expected to act in good faith and within their authority.

Principle

No Social-Media Behavior

This platform is not designed for virality, debate, public commentary, or engagement farming. Memorial records are archival, not performative.

Expected Conduct

What We Expect From Every Family Workspace

Memorial Content

  • Use real names, dates, and tribute text that the family can stand behind.
  • Do not publish abusive, mocking, graphic, obscene, or defamatory memorial text.
  • Do not use memorial pages for political campaigning, advertising, fundraising, or unrelated promotion.

Family Authority

  • Only create, edit, assign, or activate records when you have family authorization.
  • Do not impersonate relatives, verifiers, family heads, or administrators.
  • Do not bypass verification or pressure others to approve an activation without proper review.

Privacy And Sensitivity

  • Do not expose personal data that the family has not agreed to publish.
  • Avoid sharing private disputes, accusations, financial matters, or unresolved family conflicts in tribute text.
  • Use public visibility only when the family intends a memorial to be publicly discoverable.

Platform Misuse

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, or coordinated abuse.
  • No fraudulent payments, fake reservations, scripted abuse, scraping, or attempts to disrupt the service.
  • No attempts to alter records, statuses, or memorial visibility through unauthorized means.

Enforcement

How Violations Are Handled

Remove or restrict content that violates memorial dignity or family consent.

Suspend editing, assignment, activation, or public visibility for affected records.

Freeze, review, or reverse reservation and access workflows where fraud or abuse is suspected.

Limit or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate family governance or trust and safety rules.

Report Misuse

Flag It Quickly

Impersonation or unauthorized family access

Abusive memorial text or imagery

Privacy violations or exposed sensitive data

Fraudulent payment or reservation behavior

Harassment directed at families, verifiers, or administrators

If you encounter any of these issues, use the report workflow so the record can be reviewed and restricted where necessary.

Guiding Standard

If a contribution would feel exploitative, inflammatory, uncertain, or invasive in a permanent family archive, it does not belong on Ancestra. Choose restraint, factual care, and family consent over speed, exposure, or personal expression.
